📝 What Does the Secretary Do?
The Secretary serves a four-year leadership term, progressing through key roles:
✅ Year 1 – Secretary
✅ Year 2 – Vice President
✅ Year 3 – President
✅ Year 4 – Immediate Past President
Treasurer: Are you or someone you know financially minded? Organized? Passionate about supporting Alaska’s medical group management professionals? We’re currently accepting nominations for the AKMGMA Treasurer!
📅 Term: 1 year (July 1 – June 30) with a first right of refusal for a second year
💼 Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with our bookkeeper to ensure accurate records (QuickBooks Desktop)
- Overseeing monthly bank reconciliation and financial reporting
- Assisting the Board with budgeting (annual and conference)
- Serving as liaison with our CPA for annual 990 filing
- Presenting financial reports at monthly board meetings
